Centre of Excellence for National Cohesion and Outreach

The Centre of Excellence for National Cohesion at Lok Virsa, established under Section 4(1) of the NIFTH Ordinance 2002, is a dedicated initiative aimed at promoting unity, inclusion, and social harmony across Pakistan. Functioning under the administrative umbrella of the National Institute of Folk & Traditional Heritage (NIFTH), the Centre engages diverse communities through cultural festivals, educational programs, and dialogue-based activities. Its mission is to foster mutual respect, national identity, and civic participation by celebrating Pakistan’s linguistic, ethnic, and religious diversity.

Through targeted campaigns, community outreach, and partnerships with academic institutions and civil society, the Centre works to counter extremism, discrimination, and radicalization. It creates platforms for meaningful engagement that encourage shared values and peaceful coexistence.
