We are pleased to announce the Calendar of Events for January 2018


We will start off the year with Opening of all-new Lok Khaba on 1st January and a Classical Musical Evening with Ustaad Ejaz Tawakkal on 2nd January.

On 8th January , Asian Study Group will bring another thought-provoking program about Dissolving Boundaries : A Discussion with Guru Garanth Sahib, to be held at the Media Center. This months’ Craft is Knowledge program will kick off in Museum Hall from 15th January with it’s Opening Ceremony taking place on the 16th January. The theme of this month’s Craft is Knowledge program is Traditional Art of Weaving; it’s corresponding Children Lok Mela will take place on 18th January in IMCG-F7/1.

On 22nd January, Oxfam will launch it’s Report on Inequality, coinciding with the World Economic forum in Devos, with all-day programs in Lok Virsa.


Every Saturday of the month at 4 pm, Mandwa Film Club will screen a classic film, chosen alternatively from Pakistan and International Cinema. Whereas, Open Mic will continue every Thursday and Sunday at 3 pm. Lok Virsa’s weekly infotainment program “Folk Beats” will air a new episode on Pakistan’s Folk Cultures, Every Sunday at 5.10 pm, on PTV World.
